The 'Workshops X Sandhya Shekar' series was created to
help aspiring and professional makeup artists reach new levels of craftsmanship and rekindle their passion for beauty. Founded by acclaimed makeup artist Sandhya Shekar, the program has been developed keeping in mind international standards of beauty education as well as the latest industry techniques and trends.
The courses are perfect for those looking to begin a career in the makeup industry or even professionals seeking to update their technique; explore new ways of thinking, hone their craft and interact with other members of the beauty community.
Our programmes are designed to encourage independent thinking, mindful personal growth, and an appreciation for the diversity of beauty. Students begin by developing their personal goals and work towards cultivating their unique signature technique, or niche, in the market. Classes are taught in an intimate, nurturing environment and are conducted by experts in beauty, fashion, photography, advertising and publishing industries.

SANDHYA SHEKAR
Sandhya's passion for Hair and Makeup started at a very young age, from stealing her mother's makeup to staining her cheeks with beetroot, she tried and tested it all.
After working in the financial world for a while she gave it up to give makeup a shot. She started off professionally on her own in mid 2009 and has since become one of the most well known names in the industry. Her client list includes magazines like Vogue, Elle, Harper's Bazaar, Grazia, GQ, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, etc. She's worked on innumerable print campaigns, television commercials and with some of the biggest names in Bollywood. Her clientele includes Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif, Anushka Sharma, Kangana Ranaut, Jacqueline Fernandes, Aditi Rao Hydari, Parineeti Chopra to name a few.
She is also responsible for some of the most iconic looks of Deepika Padukone at the Cannes Film Festival and the Met Gala. The industry recognised her excellence by awarding her Vogue Makeup Artist of the Year 2018 and Elle Artist of the Year 2016.
Along with her years of experience, Sandhya has also attended professional makeup artistry courses in New York and London. She learnt the importance of spending time to seek out the knowledge and inspiration an artist needs to develop their skills. With this course, Sandhya hopes to create a welcoming space that will allow others to learn
and grow with her.
